LOVE GAMES

I guess I never really learned

To abide by all the rules

I've tried my hand at all of Love's Games

Seems they are tailor made for fools

To believe such lies

As "Forever I'll be there"

You end up being the one who cries

Step one - Believe they care

The next step seems to be the one

That catches all but few

The careless words of dreamy eyes

You fall for, "I love you"

Step three is "Love me only"

For you're the only one

Step four - "You won't be lonely"

Step five - You hold him tightly

And his mind drifts far away

Step six - "I'm here to stay"

Step seven's when your waiting

And time passes so slowly

Step eight is when you realize

You have to let him go

Step nine is called the breaking point

When he has the nerve to say

He thought at first it would work out

But it has to end today

He never meant to hurt you

And now for number ten

When you still love and he is gone

In Love's Games, you have reached the end.
