TEST OF TIME

As I look through

The old photographs

I wonder if its true

Our smiles through the years

The time we have been together

Sheltering the worst times with the rest

Our lives are so different and new

From what we used to know

The past has shaken all we knew

Changed us in a strange way

I am not who I used to be

You're not the man I married

How could the love we shared be wrong

Together we can do anything

The desire is still very strong

Can we survive this test of time?

Can we show the world this was meant to be?

I want my life to be normal again

To be as happy as we were back then

Time will tell

Will it be our friend?
